Welcome to Cedar Gather's Cookie Policy

Cedar Gather uses cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience on our website, cedargather.com. This policy explains what cookies are, how we use them, and the choices you have. This policy applies to the website only, not to in-person dining or poker events. We do not use cookies for online gambling or wagering; Cedar Gather is an offline-only social poker loft. By continuing to browse our site, you agree to our use of cookies as described here, subject to your preferences.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, understand how you use it, and improve your experience. Cookies can be "session" cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which are stored until they expire or are deleted.

We also use similar technologies like local storage, but this policy refers to all of them as "cookies" for simplicity. Cookies do not contain personal information unless you provide it, and they cannot run programs or deliver viruses.

  • Cookies are small text files stored on your device.
  • Session cookies disappear when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies remain until they expire or are deleted.
  • Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses.

How We Use Cookies

We use cookies for a limited set of purposes: to ensure the website functions properly, to remember your preferences (such as your 18+ age confirmation), and to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it.

  • Essential cookies are required for core functionality, such as remembering your age verification.
  • Preference cookies remember choices like language or display settings.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand aggregate usage patterns without identifying individuals.

We do not use advertising or targeting cookies, and we do not sell any data collected via cookies.

Third-Party Cookies

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies to help us understand how visitors use our site. The information generated by these cookies about your use of the website (including your IP address) is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

  • Google may use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage.
  • Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf.
  • You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We have configured Google Analytics to anonymize IP addresses.
